In this series "Zharkov's Handbook on Visual Studio" of full-color books, a program-ming the best 2D and 3D games and applications, saved up for many years in Internet, is given. The initial versions of these games and applications are updated and improved in latest version of Microsoft Visual Studio. In books of series, the detailed step-by-step instruc-tions of creation of games and applications with all texts of programs in color (as in Visual Studio) are described. Internet addresses, where it is possible to load the initial versions of programs, graphic and sound files, are also given.In this volume 1 of series of books, the following 2D games and applications for desk-top computers, laptops and tablets are described. In section I, short classification of com-puter games and calculators with effects of animation are given. In section II, in detail with a large number of examples, the general training methodology of design of typical and wide-spread games on the basis of the most perfect (in the world of programming) language of the high level Visual C# of the latest versions is described. Further, according to classification, the methodologies of programming the next known two-dimensional games with sounds on the basis of only own very powerful opportunities of Visual C# without use of DirectX, XNA and other software packages are described: in section III – methodology of programming the games of type of snake, in section IV – methodology of programming the games on assembly of picture from its parts by replacement with places of its scalable parts and by movement of its parts to empty place; in section V – methodology of programming the games on assembly of figures from elements of identical color or geometry and the games in tic-tac-toe; in section VI – methodology of programming the sporting games: game in football with several balls and rotary racks of gate, game in tennis or ping-pong on the basis of controls on one form, game in tennis or ping-pong on basis of controls on two connected forms; in section VII – deploying, publication and distribution of game or application.
